FATHER BROWN starring KENNETH MORE
One of the greatest actors of the British Cinema Golden Era, Kenneth More, plays the part of amateur sleuth and priest FATHER BROWN. Produced many years before the more recent series, this original version lacks the technical effects and modern camera techniques of today's television studios. But from the very start, its easy to forgive the 40 years of technical advances and to watch Kenneth More and the army of many, now famous, character actors, get stuck into the whodunnit episodes. Definitely plenty of great entertainment goes with this hard to find series, I recommend the collection to everyone. Buy it while you have the chance. Its pretty darn good.

Original father Brown series
If you are looking at this review then you are probably a fan of the current Father Brown series on BBC1. This is closer to the Chesterton stories and stars the great Kenneth Moore. It is also a who's who of other actors whom you will recognise for their other work. The series feels a little dated, over 40 years old, and feels more theatre like in its presentation but it is still very enjoyable

Only available used, but worth looking for.
A good if somewhat dated series. Pity it's no longer available new, so I had to buy a second-hand set.
