    Best tv series l have ever followed, and now l can follow it again, on repeat, via dvd!

    Great to revisit one of my fave TV series of years ago, and find that The Wire is truly great! And watching it on DVD, l can rewatch it *in detail*. Brilliant 😀

    This is a programme I could not watch when it was out on TV late at night. I also tried to buy it on cd but could not get one.I did not know Idris Elba was one of the stars. Fast moving police series 5 seasons.

    Brilliant entertainmant

    This is a brilliant crime fighting story. Its gripping and very true life with super characters. My only hitch is that a small scratch on one of the discs causes a blip and I missed about 30 seconds of one episode but hey ho.

    The Wire box set

    Bought for my daughter and she loves it. It’s an American cop show starring Dominic West. It was secondhand but in good condition.

    Landmark cops and robbers series where there are goodies and baddies on both sides - and much humour.

    There is little I can say that has not been said before about The Wire. It is a gritty look at drug-related and other crime in Boston from the point of view of the Police who have to deal with it, who do not always behave as well as they should, and the perpetrators, who are not always willing perpetrators. These grey areas leave you wondering who are the real criminals - at the same time, there is a great deal of lovely humour - some of it dark, some of it just funny.
