Nice GPS, But With Quirks
Traffic is mostly reliable. It's taken me around several major traffic knots on the freeways. It missed a major one earlier this week, but I don't know if it just happened, but I was stuck in traffic for about 10 minutes. Voice control is often iffy if not in a very quiet place (e.g. smooth road, radio off, etc.), but it's great to be able to find places without stopping to reprogram the GPS. It has a habit of avoiding left turns and will often take us a mile or two out of the way to avoid doing so, even after being shown the faster route repeatedly. I guess if you're lost, it still works, but it can be frustrating to be taken around a block when a left turn would have gotten you there five minutes faster. This unit has a strange habit of acting like it's being reinitialized. The screen will turn dark, the startup splash screen will display, then it will return to normal operation, including continuing a route. Even with its quirks, I like this GPS and plan to continue using it in place of the factory GPS in my 2013 Prius.

5.5 drive smart.
registration takes longer than I thought, but works great with new features I like. 5.5 inch screen is easy to see.

Plug and play GPS
Live this GPS. Had an old Nuvi 255 for years. It was so slow to start up and outdated. The drive smart 55 turns on instantly and I use the app from my phone to search for the destination and it automatically sends it to the GPS without having to play around with the device itself. It’s features like lane merges, weather and traffic are also fun to use. Really happy with this purchase and later on I can purchase the backup camera

Garmin make the best GPS out there
Garmin make the best GPS out there and this model has it all. Check out the features and reliability. It also has bid Brother at 6.95 inches and little sister is 4.5 inches.

Best GPS unit I have used
Only thing I would like is a better way do geocaching. Ability to change to pedestrian mode. You can input coordinates which is helpful and go off-road, but I haven’t explored that area much yet. I love the ability to perform many functions by voice command.

Beautiful bright screen, lots of features.
Very nice display with lots of search options and features. Still exploring. Love the way it easily intergrates with wireless backup camera. Perfect solution for an older Volvo XC70 wagon.

Garmin makes great products.
This is the third or fourth Garmin product. They keep adding features which makes it more usable on the road. It has a quick refresh rate for traffic conditions and great suggestions for alternative routes if traffic is congested on the route you are on to a certain place.

Good value, good perks, good assets.
I like the features offered in this unit that my previous one didn't have. Being able to bluetooth between Smartphone and Garmin device allowing for phone search typing is very convenient. I also like the speed limit awareness modes and traffic awareness mode.

great improvement over earlier garmin models..nothing wrong with the older models just the 55 has a lot more useful information
