Swedish doom mastermind Leif Edling is the bass player for the legendary Candlemass, but his supergroup side-project Krux is rapidly catching up to his main group. A six-piece orchestra of grim, epic dread, Krux is composed of former members of illustrious bands Entombed and Arch Enemy, among others. And they've bonded together on KRUX II to push the oppressive riffing and suffocating atmosphere even further. With all eight songs clocking in at around or over five minutes, the band has time to establish a formidable, mesmerizing groove while singer Mats Leven wails and moans theatrically.
