Threaded plug removal and insertion tool for Hobie kayaks
The right tool for the right job. If you have a Hobie Adventure Island or Tandem Island sailing kayak this tool will prove to be a great little addition to your tool kit. The shock cord plugs are very difficult to remove so the shock cord loops can be replaced. I've tried using needle nose pliers and an adjustable pin wrench but neither would stay in position. They slipped out of the plug slots and scored the surface of the outrigger. This tool fits the plug slots perfectly and removal of the plugs is then a simple task. Installing the plugs with the new shock cord is a snap.

Best tool for changing bungees on a Hobie Island Kayak.
Works exactly as designed. Using to change out the 3/8" bungee cords on my Hobie Tandem Island.
