Revenge is the name of the game, both figuratively and literally, in this follow-up to Criterion's breakthrough sports car racer, Burnout 3: Takedown (truly a "smash hit"). As in its immediate predecessor, offensive driving and spectacular crashes are the focus of Burnout: Revenge, and this fourth game in the series is designed to offer more avenues to destruction than any of its predecessors, by featuring a greater capacity for real-time damage and car deformation, multilevel track layouts that allow players to ram their opponents from below or above, as well as from behind or in front, and a new "revenge meter" that encourages players to pay back -- with interest -- those who wrong them on the roads. Wreckage-prone racing occurs all around the world in this edition of Burnout, in areas inspired by real-world cities, such as Detroit, Rome, and Tokyo. A number of online modes are included as well, for properly equipped gamers who are raring to test their destructive driving skills against other human opponents.Product Identifiers

This ground-breaking game has aged VERY well.
This game is epic. It's fun enough to play for hours on end, but it's simple enough to jump on and knock out a couple events in about 15 minutes. It has aged very well, and it still looks and sounds great, especially if playing on a PS3 that is backwards compatible. There are ton of cars and a ton of events, and even if you reach 100% completion, you can always just start over or keep trying to beat your old records. Super fun and a classic among PS2 era racing games!
Hands down one of my favorite arcade racers from my childhood. Awesome sound track that shaped my music interest for years to come. Not what i thought.
Not what I thought. Don't get me wrong I love this game but it pauses during a race, so I crash as soon as the race resumes. Like I said I love the game, but the pausing during a race can go.
