Hooray for old time westerns!
You can never get enough of old school westerns because they are entertaining for the whole family. It’s nice to watch old fashion sincere programs with family values with strong life lessons to gain from.

i find that laramie is a very good western for the family or anyone that loves old westerns
john smith and Robert fuller are very good actors as well as Robert Crawford jr and hoggy Carmichael it only ran four years a very short four years I remember watching Laramie when I was a child at home it was great to watch. you never get bored watching all the actors perform no two shows are alike. but like all the other old westerns it got canceled and now you can still watch Laramie on the westerns channel or on dvd.

Love the show
I don't remember seeing this series when I was growing up, but love the "wholesomeness" of it. Good always wins. Language is clean. I love westerns and this is an excellent show that stood the test of time. I'd rather watch this than some of the more modern TV shows.

Black & White
One of my favorite shows growing up. I did not realize this was in black & white, which really is no problem, the problem comes in that some of the episodes are grainy and the sound is not good. Very disappointed in this item

I loved It !!!
The main characters are engaging and the storylines are pleasant. For those who miss me like the time when things were simpler. The picture and audio could improve, but nothing that gets in the way of entertainment.

Old favorite still entertains
I always loved cowboys as a kid, and Laramie was a family favorite. Then as a teenager I discovered the two main characters (John Smith and Robert Fuller) were pretty darn cute, so enjoyed it for a different reason. I found it in reruns several months ago, but only got the later seasons which were in color. I couldn't remember how the characters met, etc. so wanted the first two seasons, which were in black and white. The dvd versions are great, I find the pictures sharp and the action is still great, much more realistic than the Lone Ranger or Roy Rogers, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed it while young, or even new to the series.

Loving weaterns on the farm
Grandchildren love this series. The western is their favorite, especially these older ones.

The Best of Mid-Century Westerns
Laramie is the sparkling triumph of the mid-Century TV western done well! It is brotherhood, grit, hard work, challenges, family, friends, struggles, war, riches and American spirit experienced through the lives of rancher Slim Sherman and drifter turned ranch partner, Jess Harper. This was the first western that showed actual ranch work by the stars, along with blood, sweat and tears of American in the 1870s. It quickly related to the broad American audience each week, by including a fatherly influence from Jonsey (Hoagy Carmichael) and kid brother, Andy Sherman. (Robert Crawford). Sure, it probably helped ratings that our 2 favorite cowboys were easy on the eyes....but the stories, artful writing and experiences directors brought it all together for 4 highly successful season. Laramie left the air ear the end of the western-era for TV. However, rediscovering this timeless classic 60 years after it’s launch on September 15, 1959 is a treasure of Americana spirit. Enjoy!

Great shows. Every Classic DVD collection should include it.
Laramie was one of the very top westerns ever on tv. Sim and Jess were the best "buddy" pair I ever saw. The episodes had the best subject matter in the early years.
