  • Not impressed

    The blades are not very sharp - they arrived quickly and in Philips / Norelco brand packaging, but they are not sharp. I have used them for 6 days now and the quality of my shave is still not as good as the old blades. The original manual indicates one needs to give it 21 days for my skin to adapt to the razor? Is that really time for the blades to seat themselves to the foil? Or are these just imitation blades in original style packaging?

  • Norelco HQ8

    I replaced my worn razor heads with the Norelco HQ8 replacement kit. I have used my razor several times with the same horrible results. I have used Norelco razors for at least 30 years now and have always had comfortable clean shaves! These replacement blades do not cut my beard at all, pulling, snagging, hurting my face! I would never recommend these replacements. Save your money. Buy another brand!

  • Walk the other way!

    I have an S5290 razor and this blade is the designated replacement blade but it just isn't right. It works, but drags somehow. I contacted Norelco and got the blah, blah, blah. My recommendation is get another brand razor. And that from a man who has had a Norelco razor for 30+ years.

  • Not a great replacement head, unless you like to spend a LONG SHAVING!

    When I first used the replacement heads on my Cool Skin Norelco it seemed to take forever to shave my face. It was then I relized the head design was very different from the design of the original Cool Skin heads. I put the old heads back in except for the one damaged head. Now, I can shave like I use to. I own and have owned Norelco razors for years. This is time I have been disappointed! I actually read some other reviews on the replacement heads and discovered I am not alone in my disappointment. I will now have to wade through all the new Norelco razors to see which one I may buy. Why are there so many models?

  • Pulls whiskers! Design flaws.

    Pulls the whiskers! Package is Norelco, made in the Netherlands. Took some days and a micrometer, but figured out why. New design rotor = 15 teeth, .710 inch outside dia., Old design rotor = 9 teeth, .740 inch outside dia., .030 inch smaller diameter. Cutter screens are same dia. , old & new. With the new rotors some whiskers get caught out of the reach of the rotors and get pulled! Pretty sure that Norelco knows this already. I'm back to using my old heads!

  • Some of these are not genuine. Lift and cut is the original blades!

    You must really double check if these heads are lift and cut.Otherwise you are getting cheap Chinese knock offs. I just tossed a set of those in the trash. I was only out $4.00 from China. Then I ordered what looked like genuine Phillips blades in a box. Ordered from USA. Sealed in plastic but when opened not lift and cut just the same as ones from China. Oh well..try again USA...Sux..

  • Shaver heads didn’t fit shaver... but maybe our error.

    Although this may be a very fine product, it did not fit in my husband’s shaver. I believe we ordered correctly assuring that we ordered shaver replacement heads that fit his shaver, however, they did not. I may have made a mistake when ordering but I thought I was very careful to get the right shaver head. So in fairness to Phillips, I feel it wouldn’t be right to offer a rating.

  • Ouch! Several hairs were pulled, not cut, during first and second shaves. Still not getting a clean shave.

    NEW, OEM replacement blades pulled several hairs during first shave. Pulled a few hairs during second shave. Third shave just one or two hairs were pulled. After the third shave there is no pulling of hair but am not getting as close a shave as I used to with previous blades when they were new. I've replaced blades four times now and this was the first time I've had this experience. Very disappointed in overall blade performance

  • painful to use

    They grab whiskers and pull them . It is painful. I have never had this happen before and have replaced these heads for many years and never encountered this problem before. I was confident that original brand heads would be okay .I wonder what has changed since the last time I got a new set just a year ago

  • They are not sharp ??

    I've had this razor for many years BUT the replacement heads used to be great & last for up to 6 months BUT now the last 4 replacement heads have not lasted a month. the present set are only 1 week old & they don't cut smoothly BUT pull & don't cut closely. I still have another new set BUT am trying to wait before using it.
