Unifi Switch 8 60W
Perfectly adequate for my needs. 4 x Gigabit ethernet PoE ports and 4 x Gigabit Ethernet non PoE ports. I power my USG, Cloud key controller and AP-AC-PRO by PoE from this switch, so only 1 plug socket is used between them! The USG can be powered by PoE by connecting it using a TP Link PoE Splitter on 12V setting. Nicely manageable in the Unifi interface.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Disappointingly unstable, nothing like the UniFi APs
Having had a lot of success with the UniFi access points I thought I'd try this switch, particularly as it integrates with my existing UniFi controller setup. For the first few weeks I was fairly happy with it; it's a bit noisy electrically and rather slow to boot compared to other managed switches I use but otherwise it seemed fine. Unfortunately in the last few weeks it has been infuriatingly unstable; the change seemed to coincide with my adding a VLAN to the network config. That worked correctly (although the switch seemed a little slow to route to the VLAN initially) but ever since the switch has been unpredictable. The UniFi controller shows it randomly "adopting" (which should only need done once, when setting up) and then provisioning - or simply going unreachable. The main point of this switch was to handle VLANs - if it can't do that without falling over all the time, it's less use than a cheap unmanaged Gigabit switch.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Enterprise switch at Domestic Price - Brilliant
An Enterprise class piece of kit with 4 PoE ports at a very reasonable price. Use this with the Ubiquiti Wireless Access Points and the software controller can see all the elements and adopt them into the network. Will purchase again.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

It's unifi gear...
If you're familiar with unifi gear then you don't need to read this, if not... It's "prosumer" grade networking - it has the main features of more enterprise product lines whilst the price is still somewhat reasonable. Once you use ubiquiti gear you'll never look back
