Johnny, Kris, Merle and Willie at play
Even though I hadn't been a country fan growing up, I always loved to hear the distinctive voices of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. Add Kris Kristofferson to this trio of superstars and you do have: The Highwaymen. All four artists have done it their way. This blending and melding of their voices is most pleasing to my ear. I'm putting together "my traveling music library" and this CD will be taken along for the ride. I am retired now and I plan to do some driving about the USA to visit old friends and family and meet new. This "library" will be filled with my CD favorites as I eat up the miles on Route 66, et on.

Can't go wrong with Cash, Jennings, Nelson & Kristofferson:)
Had the cassette version & LOVED it.. Was hoping to find at a thrift store to save money, but never did. Then found this GREAT deal. We LOVE it:)

great listen to if you like the artist
this cd has some great songs and will bring back some good memorys and the songs really get you moving i'd tell people to buy it if they love these artist and songs one awesome cd buy it and jam

Excellent album.
Super star singers. Fantastic songs. Country music at its best. Songs to look for--1. Highwayman; 2. Desperados waiting for a train; 3. Against the wind. Again --- SUPER VALUE FOR MONEY.
