REVISITING THE KENNEDY CAMELOT
Was eagerly awaiting the DVD release of JACKIE (2016) ....&.... It was worth the wait, as I was in LOVE with the film from the first note of the film score, which is so unusual but, perfect for this film! Who can forget JACKIE KENNEDY or that fateful DALLAS DAY in Texas or that beautiful PINK SUIT that she wore so beautifully, even after it was splattered with President Kennedy's blood! I know I will never forget where I was when I heard the news of the shooting & I will always remember JACKIE in the days that followed! Natalie Portman nails Jacqueline Kennedy in both character & voice! The voice is pitch-perfect & dead-on! The whole film will lead you through the events that followed that day in DALLAS & endears JACKIE to you even more! I have viewed the DVD many times, since receiving it & especially enjoy it as a late night viewing treat when all is quiet & the day is done! It gives one time to reflect on JACQUELINE KENNEDY & her poise & perfection, only to realize once & for all, that she was like all of us, just a human being but was thrown into fame by being a KENNEDY! I highly recommend this DVD & you will be especially enchanted with the film's production values, score & JACKIE'S COSTUMES, especially the infamous PINK SUIT!
