Essential To Understanding Carolingian Dynasty
The lecturer covers a lot of interesting details of Early Medieval life and politics in Charlemagne's kingdom, and I'd recommend this course for that reason. I was interested in Charlemagne's diplomatic relations with the (English) Anglo-Saxon kings. A few minor irritations are : that Daileader covers his subject by topic, and not chronologically. He ends up repeating a lot of the history in each lecture. And, his speaking voice is kind of nasal, dropping some consonants here and there.
