Although each level is linear and you only have one life per stage, it has enough power-ups like health gourds that you can make it through without dissolving into frustration. NES Whomp Em
This game is a good action platformer. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is its length... It only takes about a half hour to beat it! What separates this one from others is that you have multiple weapons with different uses to get you through the levels just like megaman to progress and beat bosses but I've never seen them in any other NES game. The controls are tight and responsive and the music and sound effects are well above average in my opinion. The graphics are very appealing as well for an old game. I would pick this one up before the prices get even higher because I never seen this game in the wild before. Most importantly the game is very fun and it makes you want to keep playing to see what type of level/enemies/boss is next to defeat. I highly recommend this cartridge if you enjoy action platformer a like Mario and megaman if you can get it at a good price. Typical Nintendo Platformer, fun to play, but no surprises
Whomp'em! is a solid platformer. It is based on a Japanese title and is structurally very similar to Mega Man, In the game, you take on the role of a young Native American, fighting evil in many different environments. Luckily, you have infinite continues and you can start on any level at any time. The graphics are well-done, as are the sound effects and music.
