Classic Timeless American TV Western
The Rifleman is one of the most engaging and real-life westerns I have ever seen. All episodes are relevant today, even though this TV show was set in the later part of the 19th century. Lucas McCain is as American as any character I've seen from John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. This is a wonderful family TV show, which gets into the hearts and minds of those in the frontier town of North Fork. Most important, this TV show demonstrates the many life situations found within western life within the United States of America after the Civil War. Lucas McCain lost his wife and is raising his boy in a rough town. The town's sheriff is the kind of peace officer every town needs.

Im a big fan of old westerns and the rifleman. Is a good family show. I even got my grandchildren to watching the rifleman.
