H&R Block Tax Software Business is not well designed
Pro: easy to install. Provide helps for tax preparation Con: I changed computer this year. There if not file which could be transferred to the new computer for this year's software to pull out. Nor, it could not read the PDF file from last year. These functions are available in Personal Tax software. Also, if I choose e-file, I am asked to fill in preparer's info. I did by myself, and it was very confusing how and what to fill. I had to choose paper filing at the end. I do not think the business software is well designed. The interview is not very helpful to guide you how to fill. The software asked me several times if I should fill a bunch of forms. However, I do not know what those forms are. Double Check Your Computer Operating System
This year, H&R Block software is not compliant with Windows 7, or earlier versions. Unfortunately, the add selling me this software did not state this compatibility problem. My only options were to upgrade my operating system or find another computer. If I had known this was the case, I would not have bought it. I cannot rate how well this software works or how easy to use for that reason.

Have used this product for decades
I've been doing my own taxes for the last 40 years or so and this is the product that I always use. I've tried TurboTax a couple of times along the way, but it does not give me as good an experience as Taxcut (i.e. the original name of this software back in the day). I use Quicken for my accounting software and it produces input to Taxcut so I basically am preparing my taxes every day when I record transactions in Quicken. I have to do some manual work with spreadsheets for depreciation and for cryptos, but otherwise Quicken plus Taxcut does the lion's share of the work for me. The basic approach of Taxcut is to interview the user for the required information. Through the interview, the software leads the user through the whole preparation process. For more experienced users, a "quick entry" process is provided for those who have already assembled their data. So, something for everyone. The product includes one state program. However, while the product provides 5 free electronic Federal return submissions, electronically submitting a state costs an extra $20. I'm cheap, so I just snail mail my PA state return. Other states, like MD, provide free tax return preparation, so I can just enter the results from Taxcut into MD's program to get electronic filing with the return preparation being first handled with Taxcut. If you can't tell, I really like this product and expect to use it into the future.

This shouldn’t be released
This thing is so bad, it actually doesn’t do right calculations and really difficult to use because it keeps on showing errors forcing to file on paper. Piece of trash. On top of everything else, eBay threatens to suspend the account if I return it. I guess we live in different America.

was good but has gone down hill
Have been using this software since 2016. Never had any issues but this time it was full of problems. Tried talking to CS but had to be on gold for hours and even then got no helpful answers. The system is not transporting old data like it used to do before this year. There are some other glitches too which were not there before.
