Lack of "ears"
"Ears" are severely lacking on this antenna. Compared new 3' Firestik to an old fiberglass antenna I had. Both tested SWRs at about 1.4:1. Radio output power is 25% higher on old antenna. QSOs with base station 15 miles away were loud and strong on old antenna- new Firestik could not receive the station and I was below the noise in identical tests for his perspective.
