An Important Revival of an Important TV Series
It is the entire content of the TV series that ran in 1949, whereas the first set I bought was not exactly the same. I saw it first run when I was a child and was impressed at the time, although I didn't know the full impact of its content until years later. Produced just 4 years after WW2 and televised in the early fifties, the footage, and the narration based on Eisenhower's book, takes back a generations' contribution to the touch point of history as the net positive, heroic fight that it was.
