Superman: The Cliffhanger
This is one of those "serials" from days gone by (1948). The most attractive element oif serials is the ending of each chapter (except the last) wherein the hero or friend of the hero is left in a dangerous situation only to be resolved "at this theater next week". (Yes, you had to wait a week to find out the person's fate.) This serial is in good condition and well packaged for ease of viewing. Some of the action is animated (not very well) but I found it tolerable. On the whole, it's a fairly accurate portrayal of the Superman story. I enjoyed seeing it again.

Superhero serial flies high!
Warners took great pride in this release! First class packaging, acceptable video quality ( itcould still use a 1080p upgrade)! Fast paced and engaging, both serials are fun and easy to take on a relaxing day! Plus, MR KIRK ALYN! The VERY FIRST ACTOR TO PLAY SUPERMAN ON FILM! A must for any film buff! Highly recommended! 🙋‍♂️👍👏

Great classic DVD
Great to see this classic, little known version of Superman from way back then...interesting plot, good amount of action and suspense, interesting special effects from a more innocent time. Kirk Alyn made a great Superman--more accurate on the look than George Reeves.

What a trip into the past for me.
Amazing that this is available so that I can finally see--after 70 years!--the resolution to the cliffhanger of the one segment I missed when I was nine years old! A great buy and a great treat!

Going Back To Yesteryear...
I am still looking forward to when I can sit down to enjoy these first two adventures. I have pretty good expectations; but I have read somewhere that it didn't fly in these first efforts just ran kind of fast! Ah well...

Great for Superman Fans
Great classic and must have for Superman collectors! I grew up watching George Reeves as Superman and have all the episodes, but never knew about these with Kirk Alyn, and even Noel Neill as Lois Lane before the Reeves Adventures of Superman, this is a great find!

at last
for many years those titles were only available as bleak bootlegs. now we can all enjoy both the serials in very qood quality. buy and enjoy!!

another great show from my youth..
Loved watching these as a kid With my Grandpa ... now i can let my son enjoy them as i did growing up.. best part there all in one place and you dont have to wait months to watch all them on t.v. .. lol.....
