Best value automatic watch from a legacy company
Great watch. Fraction the price of the big name Swiss watch companies. Seiko has a long history of quality products. My last seiko is nearly 40 years old and still keeping excellent time. Take anywhere watch.
Glad Seiko started to do the GMT on their diver’s watches. I use this for traveling and it looks formal and casual so no need to take other watches. Easy to read and adjust. Have NATO straps for it too but prefer metal band the best. Exhibition back is a nice change from other dive watches. Love the Batman colors and red GMT hand. Easy to read in the dark. Only negative is that the crown is blank. Should have included a signed red or black “S” on the crown.

Well-made watch, as expected from Seiko but it does need some improvements to be a truly useable GMT watch. The inner bezel shows the even numbered 24 hr. markings but there is no indicator between those markers to indicate the odd hours (every other GMT watch I have has a dot or bar in between, for instance the 18 and 20 hour marks to indicate the 19 hour, Seiko seems to think you can 'guestimate' it). The other issue I have with this watch is that the moveable outer bezel has no ratchet. It is supposed to stay in whatever position you put it in by friction only, but it does not. As that bezel is supposed to be used to indicate another time zone, not staying put makes it rather useless.
