Works great when working. Bad design means these fail often and need to be replaced frequently.
These AT&T U-Verse S30-S1B are one of the worst remotes ever made, in that they fail quickly. I've had AT&T U-Verse service for 8 months now, and in that time I had to replace my brand new S30-S1B remotes FOUR TIMES already, because the keys fail. And its mainly the keys that are used to control the DVR, such as the pause, play, stop, etc. I understand why these remotes fail, because moisture or other contaminates keys under the silicone key layer and interrupts the contact between the pressed key and the circuit board. But the problem is, unlike other popular remotes, I have been unable to disassemble it and clean it. With other remotes, you can take them apart and clean the bottom of the silicone keys layer, and re-assemble and the remote will work perfectly, but with these S30-S1B remotes, I think that they are glued together, making it impossible to open up without breaking the outer shell. In any event, for whatever reason or design flaw, they have a reputation of not lasting very long and its not uncommon to have to keep replacing them. Fortunately they are relatively inexpensive and are usually readily available on ebay.

Grear remote for ATT cable box.
Bought particularly because of the price and the back lit feature. Very responsive. Do not have to direct towards cable box I have 6 of these now. Great product for great price.

Backlight buttons are great...but no DVD button to program.
Remote looks great, however, they removed the programmable DVD button to control my Bluray player (presumably to encourage using the AT&T VOD feature which costs $$$). I also used the DVD button on my old remote to control my Apple TV...no longer possible with this remote. Only controls your TV, receiver and Uverse box. If you have a DVD/Bluray player and Apple TV, this remote is NOT for you.

Easy to use.
The remote worked the first time I programmed it. The remote I bought before this would'nt program. Only the audio and on/off button would work. This remote works better than the original.

No Fuss No Muss!
So I received my new remote, took it out of the package, installed batteries, and pressed the power button. For some reason I didnt have to program anything, not even my JBL soundbar. Everything is working as before.

Yes like it light up and so easy to program the TV control backlit. Great price and fast shipping.
Just love it light up in the dark the new AT&T U-Verse S30-S1B ProgrammableTV Remote.

Great replacement for older U-Verse remote
Brought these to replace existing U-Verse remotes, didn't want to have to deal with calling ATT.. Nice replacements and easy to program
