Easy to Install PCI-E USB Card
The USBs that came on my computer were malfunctioning ... so, rather than put in a new motherboard or buy a new computer, i spent just a few dollars for this card with 4 USB3 ports. The installation took only a few minutes and the card works perfectly, thereby saving me a lot of expense for new equipment and also avoiding the agony of migrating all of my software. It was a great solution.

Great value and helps make older PC's a bit more updated.
This was great for what I needed. Nothing fancy as well, I don't use Windows I use Linux and it was a plug and play situation. I have not had to install any software but was glad there still was an installation disk if needed for Windows. Would buy again if needing more USB 3.0. All so these are great for when you have an older PC and it's a good Motherboard but the lack of USB ports or ports are going out. it happens at times. Plus being PCIE express 1x, it takes very little power as well. Speaking of power, I am able to have three(3) 1TB external HDD's pluggedin, a usb 2.0 32GB uploading files and a device being charged by the last port. NO ISSUES so far. Will upgrade to usb 3.2version and a usb C-Type on it as well when I get a better MotherBoard that can handle that, the PCIe ... This was great for what I needed. This 3.0 USB add-on card is a simple install, requiring only a 4-pin female Molex auxilliary power connection. It works fine, yielding 4 Super-Speed 3.0 USB ports in addition to whatever USB ports that were already available. However, now that I know more about these devices, I wish I had gotten one that included a 20-pin connection that would support front-mounted 3.0 USB ports as well. Economical and Easy USB 3.0 Upgrade for Older Desktops
I installed this card on one of only two PCI-e slots present in my older Compaq desktop. Of course, the computer didn't like the card in that slot. The instructions said that if the card doesn't work in one slot, try the card in another slot. After a little finagling (those break-out slot covers are stubborn!), I was able to get the cover off the second PCI-e slot and plugged in the card. I was rewarded with four new fully-functional USB 3.0 ports. The instructions were easy to interpret, and the card performed flawlessly. The only problem was caused by the Compaq's case design. The card was reasonably priced and arrived very quickly. I am very impressed with this product, and would recommend it to anyone who needs USB 3.0 functionality for an older laptop, but have limited funds. ... I acquired an older gaming pc built in 09 and didn't have usb 3.0 this card was a great update to my pc easy install and when driver loaded works as promised. the only con is it did not come with a mounting screw
