In ROCKY, Italian-American underdog Rocky Balboa gets a one-in-a-million chance at boxing glory when the handlers for heavyweight champion Apollo Creed decide to set up a sure-win title bout with a born loser. It's all part of a bicentennial public relations stunt, but, unfortunately for them, Rocky trains for the fight like a man whose life depends on the outcome--which, in a way, it does. In ROCKY 2, the Italian Stallion returns for a rematch with Apollo Creed. This time, even his girlfriend, Adrian, gives Rocky her blessing. In ROCKY 3, heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa faces his toughest opponent yet: complacency. After 10 successful title defences, Rocky gets a little soft and loses his belt to brutal up-and-comer Clubber Lang. Will former foe, now trainer, Apollo Creed be able to put the fire back in Balboa's belly? In ROCKY 4, a World Heavyweight Boxing contest is to be staged between the champ, Rocky Balboa and the Soviet amateur champion, Ivan Drago. Both men know that this is more than just a tough contest of strength and skill. In ROCKY 5, times are hard for Rocky Balboa. A lifetime of taking punches has terminated his boxing career and a crooked accountant has left him in financial difficulties. The Balboa family moves back to its roots in a downtown neighbourhood where an aspiring boxer turns to the champ for training. In ROCKY BALBOA, Speculation as to whether Rocky Balboa, in his prime, would have been able to defeat lacklustre champ Mason 'The Line' Dixon spurs Dixon's management to set up an exhibition fight between the two.

    Two gloved thumbs up

    DVDs in good condition, which is the main thing. But it's not about how many hard the packaging can hit, it's about how hard it can get hit and keep on coming. (Sorry ... had to crowbar in a Rocky quote of some sort).

    It's a classic

    It has everything you want, love, overcoming challenges, disappointments, betrayal but learning and growing to eventually succeed. It could be compared too a modern day Shakespeare play. We all love the underdog to win in life it shows how long it takes. It's a classic.

    Good value set

    Have watched the first 3 films. DVDs in good condition. Enjoyable family movies for older children. Hadn't realised there were so many Rocky films so looking forward to the rest of the story.

    Rocky

    This has to be one of the best all time movies ever made, you will feel the passion of rocky right from the start. It just feels like it is a movie not just about boxing but about the struggle everyone has of every day life and you feel like Rocky is you or part of your life with the up's and down of life and the tragic parts in his life as Rocky fights for the man in the street. When Rocky finally gets to the top he is then knocked down with nothing left in his life but then struggles to get a hold of his life and gets back on top and the respect his fans have for Rocky is just like life it's self. As I said the best movie's of all time and you will love the story and character and respect from start to finish.

    You couldn't call it anything else

    I haven't opened it yet, but pleased it's brand new....so very good value. I I have already seen all the films but this is a nice to keep.
