It was not difficult to upgrade the old GBA to make it shiny and new-now with illuminated screen *it looks great*! The glacier shell comes with new screws, new button membranes for all inputs and all gray buttons. The interface didn't make that clear (to me) so I also selected the "NES" buttons, so now have gray/red/black buttons sets that are sitting in their bags unused because I ended up re-using the original GBA buttons.

Ditch the Amazon tablets. Get something like this that’s enjoyable for the kids and away from subscriptions. Retro gaming is the way.
