Most riveting action series I have ever watched~!
Most riveting action series I have ever watched~! I was in combat arms for over 20 years, and----while this is still not totally accurate & draws upon fantasy----"The Last Ship" gives a solid accounting of world despots, defense problems, spec ops, planning, and international subterfuge. The look at military politics is also very close to real. However, the quality control on the discs was a bit lacking. Three of the discs had serious coding drop-outs on the last episode on each. Missed the last 20 or so minutes I recommend this series to anyone who likes a combo of combat action and sci-fi epidemiology. Most riveting action series I have ever watched~! Excellent story in a very nice presentation package.
This is a great story. It catches the imagination and runs with it throughout. My only problem was it disappeared off of the TV station I was watching it on well before the series was completed, so I missed a good number of the episodes and had no idea how it ended. Thanks to DVD sets I can now catch all of the action and plot development that I missed. The set itself is handsomely packaged with great graphics and quality materials.This is a great story. It catches the imagination and runs with it throughout. Great series minus a scratched unwatchable disc
This is a great series and I cannot wait for the 7th season as I am hooked! My only problem and reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the 2nd disc in the 5th season was unwatchable. Under light I could see scratches in the surface. I tried cleaning and got it past spot it jammed on but it continued to do so. I finally gave up in frustration and skipped those episodes which was disappointing. The set was new and sealed so this appears to have been a bad quality issue on behalf of manufacturer.This is a great series and I cannot wait for the 7th season as I am hooked! "Exciting and worth every penny!"
What a great series! I can hardly stop watching and will be anxious for the ending. It is quite remarkable how some of the happenings in this series seem to be mirroring what is happening in our world today. I love how they portray how things work on the destroyers and also how this band of U.S. Navy men and women defeat and conquer the bad guys. It is very exciting! I'm part-way through Season 4 and am looking forward to the surprises in the following episodes and Season 5.What a great series! I can hardly stop watching and will be anxious for the ending. Hard To Stop Watching!
From the moment I started watching this, I was hooked on the movie! It was very hard to stop watching! Although it does have a lot of action and violence in it, what really draws you in are the relationships between the characters in it. Also, being married to a military man myself, that made it just as great, and makes me appreciate just what our men/women in uniform does to keep us safe abroad! I also thought the movie was filmed in a realistic way.From the moment I started watching this, I was hooked on the movie! It was very hard to stop watching! Although it does have a lot of action and violence in it, what really draws you in are the relationships between the characters in it. Also, being married to a military man myself, that made it just as great, and makes me appreciate just what our men/women in uniform does to keep us safe abroad!
