    Good account of little-known WWII tragedy

    Detailed account of the hopeless defense of New Britain Island by a handful of Australian solders in early 1942. I gave it only four stars out of five because the numerous accounts of small parties of men feeing through the unforgiving island jungle tended to all blur together after a while. Overall, definitely worth reading for anyone interested in the grim realities of WWII in the Pacific.
