This is a handy baking tool!
I got this to go with a purchase of the Wilton non-stick 12 indentation tart pan. I have a recipe that uses the refrigerated pie crusts, cut with a flower-shaped cookie cutter. The cut shapes of pie crust are put in the tart pan indentations. This tool makes it easy to get the pie crust "set" in the tart-shell indentations. It may also work if the baker just puts a ball of pie crust in the tart pan, and then use this tool to "set" the pie crust. Yes, it's worth buying. Very soft wood.
This is made of some very soft, very inexpensive white wood. Not well suited for food preparation. Just a piece of soft dowel turned on a wood lathe Not even sanded smooth. Save your money. Go to Home Depot and buy buy a short length of dowel. Sorry I bought it.
