I don't know why there was an error in sending an ebay message or why the buyer didn't file an "item not received" claim rather than disputing payment, but this is the first I'm hearing of this issue. If I had received proper notification I would have immediately refunded the buyer and filed a claim with UPS rather than going through this dispute process. :/
