Very impressed! Honesly After using one of these you'll never own another brand!
I will never buy another Minn kota After purchasing this trolling motor. The HAWSING CAYMAN has all the same features as our minn-kotas do for almost half of the price! I was skeptical at first but after using the CAYMAN on our new boat I was blown away. It's much smoother an easier to unlock an drop into water. And the anchor mode or spot lock works amazingly! We have a big group of people that all go striper fish together. We have always had to take 2 boats. An both of those boats have the very pricey Minn Kotas. And they can be good trolling motors. KEY WORD CAN BE... Weve had to send both of the Minn-Kotas back to the manufacture more times than I can count. They've gave us nothing but problems. And bad thing is they only have a 2 year warranty. Both were sent back 3 to 5 times ... I will never buy another Minn kota After purchasing this trolling motor. So when we purchased our 3rd boat we were in the market for another Minnkota even tho they gave us all the problems because u cant beat the wireless remote controls and the anchor mode. But when looking to buy I ran across this Haswing Cayman with the wireless remote and all the same features and more. For 1/3 - 1/2 of the price. And A LIFETIME WARRANTY!! So far its exceeded all my expectations! It's by far a better trolling motor than the minn kota. It's so quiet an smooth responds great. The only thing that's better about the minnkota is there remote can control all the features off that remote. Where with the Cayman remote it works great.. but to use the extra features like anchor mode / spot lock you have to use the Hawsing app. An bluetooth through your phone, or any type of tablet like a i-pad. Which is actually really cool an makes it very easy to see, and operate your trolling motor. Beause it's all on your screen lit up. But if you dont have a charger on you boat to keep your phone battery charged than theres no way to operate the extra features. That is the only thing I would change. But I've yet to have that problem. Last time out we got on the fish good! So we hit the anchor mode-spot lock which ever u wanna call it. And the trolling motor kept us on top of those fish sitting in the same spot on the lake for 10hrs An when I say same spot. We were about 50 yards between us and our other boat an we never moved! Way better than any anchor. We dont even have the anchor on our boat anymore. I've anchored up under a bridge before an tied off the other end of the boat an it moved around more than any time I've used the anchor mode. So if your in the market for a new trolling motor that dose it all. An want break the bank. THIS IS THE TROLLING MOTOR FOR YOU!

A few design flaws
Overall it's a nice little unit. However. I bought both the motor and the foot control as well. Only to find out that the foot control does not connect directly to the motor it connects to the hand fob. Your phone if you want to use the app also connects to the hand fob. So if the hand fob battery dies your done you have no other option to control the motor. After spending 110 for the foot control I thought I could use that in place of the hand fob but nope..... I also asked if I could buy a wired foot control. But they dont make one for the gps unit. So as a added cost I thought I would buy a 2nd hand control / fob. And there it is again another 100 cost. So in general the motor was 800. Foot control 110. 2nd hand fob if you want a back up is 100. Now the total cost is 1010 and that's not ... Overall it's a nice little unit. However. And with less functionality. If they would either add the option to hook up a wired foot control. Or make the wireless foot control able to use in place of the fob I would give a better review. On one last note. They also need to add an anchor button to both the hand fob and the foot control. As others have said right now you can only use anchor with the phone app.

Excellent wireless and GPS trolling motor
This trolling motor is an excellent value for its features and price. The wireless controls work great and the android phone application also works well. The anchor lock feature works as designed. Definitely a great and less expensive alternative to the other major brands of trolling motors with the same functions.

Good value with some limitations.
I like it so far. There a few things i'm disappointed with. The anchor feature only works with the phone app. It would be much better if the anchor could be activated with the remote. If I walk to the other end of the boat the anchor disengages.

very nice piece of equipment
have not had a chance to use it yet but sure looks like a winner. It is installed on my boat and looks very impressive. Seems to be well built and was easy to install. Cannot wait to use it.
