Trying to escape the disaster, a family heads for their usual vacation spot only to encounter a group of hoodlums along the way.THE LAST MAN ON EARTH: Based on Richard Matheson's SF thriller I AM LEGEND, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH is about a man who survives a global plague only to be stalked nightly by zombielike victims who call out his name. Vincent Price stars as Robert Morgan, a scientist who tried desperately to come up with a cure for an airborne virus that was killing people around the globe. Although he could not develop a serum in time to save his family, he himself seems to be immune from the disease. Thus, he is left to wander the streets by day, staking zombies, then barricading himself in his house each night as the zombies try to break in and kill him. Price is excellent in the role, going about his horrible business as if it were just another day: waking up and eating breakfast, putting on a suit, calmly staking the zombies, making dinner, listening to records at night. But when he suddenly sees what looks like another living soul out in the daylight, his world is suddenly turned inside out.

    I'm in awe at the quality of the packaging. A fine plastic wrap was put over the case; the disc was put in a paper slip, inside of another paper slip, which was also taped shut; and there was a sheet of bubble wrap on top of it, neatly filling out the case. I can't recall the last time I've seen such careful, meticulous packaging. And despite Canada Post's rough goings, it arrived in record time to my door. I have nothing but good things to say.

    Arrived super-fast and was nicely packaged, especially inside the DVD case that had bubble-wrap to stop disc-jostling. Great communication and a diligent and thoughtful seller when it came to the product description and testing. The discs are all perfect, play with no problems, and have copied well ... I'm allowed to do that for personal use to preserve the originals :) Highly recommended eBayer .

    Watched these movies when I was a kid. Although I remember duck & cover drills and fallout shelter signs on public buildings, I had forgotten how anxious everyone was. Not everything was GREAT in "the good old days"...

    Two vintage films that hold double enjoyment.

    Two great movies found to be even better than remembered as being when first seen a long time ago, which doesn't always happen that way. Most enjoyable viewing of two films that have endured time well. Imagine they are both classics.

    A period piece of Cold War Hysteria Entertainment.

    This film shows the mindset and the mass hysteria of the Cold War era. Are we safer now? No, we are not. Hysteria is still around, but people seem to be choosing their own brand of it. Panic in Year Zero is not a great movie. It made an impression on me in the 60s though, and I had to see it again. Worth your time.

    For a 1960's flick, not bad.

    It was a used DVD but played well. It was a black and white film but was clear and easy to watch. It was a 1960s flick but ahead of its time and shows how little the geopolitical map has changed little if any in the last half century.

    Panic in Year Zero/Lasr Man on Earth

    Two great movies. I especially loved Panic in the Year Zero. It was fascinating for an old black n white movie. Absolutely AWESOME.
