A MOVEABLE FEAST
Not only is this series a historical masterpiece ,this "story" if you will, dramatizes and condenses the evolving roles the Royal Family played in wartime Europe . Their personal relationships were intriguing and helped me understand the monarchy's finer class lines and how their actions affected each other. The casting is absolutely superb . I have a new empathy for Queen Elizabeth who put her country's welfare above her own and had a rather lonely life trying to keep politics separated from all the crisis both historical and personal. It is far from a documentary but a very engaging and enjoyable drama of the times portrayed by incredibly gifted actors.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

If you liked the Crown Seson 1 you'll Like 2 if you like History and Drama you like this
My wife likes British Drama and the Old A&E Historic Dramas. If you like thouse you like the Crown. But even more than that The actors make the people come alive, the story lines are very believable, and the characters are Fleshed out. The only complaint I have is the DVD's themselves dont seem to have good quality control. They pixel here and there. Fantastic movie starting with the early years of Queen Elizabeth II
I found this movie to be very entertaining and informative. I learned so much about Queen Elizabeth II and those surrounding her. Her relationship with Winston Churchill was so admirable. A young woman who had to endure the responsibilities of being the queen. I had no idea that the queen and Princess Margaret had such difficulties personally with each other. Princess Margaret appeared to be envious of her sister which I find very sad. The queen truly needed her support. I personally do not think being queen is something she wanted but she had to follow in her father's(King George) footsteps and do what she had to do. I feel she did it so graciously. Great Series!!
Great series!! The lives of the royals have always fascinated us. This is an intimate look at their lives, their secrets, their loves, their problems. The Crown is a Wonderful True Story and as Entertaining as Any Modern Movie!
I love learning the history of England and Queen Elizabeth in this moving, intriguing, interesting movie. I thought it may be boring at first but I have been pleasantly surprised! Great acting! Totally entertaining.
I do not watch TV and I don't even have cable or satellite TV. I was given Season 1 for Christmas and I totally loved it. I am not an Anglophile. Nor am I any great admirer of Monarchy. Delivered timely and enjoyable movie

Fine title speaks volumes in one word.

I love this series. Since it is about real people we know there is an end but I will miss it.
