    Sony quality plus an outstanding range of features

    I first bought one of these Sony recorders several years ago. The host of features they offer means it takes a bit of time and effort to master its operation but it is well worth it. The large capacity hard disc plus its versatile editing and high speed dubbing facilities make it a great machine for archiving recordings. I don't understand why Sony stopped producing them but their second hand value is a testament to their quality and durability.

    Useful Recorder

    Good DVD Recorder, easy to use, good picture quality and 1080 upscaling, will record all Freeview DVB Television, Radio & Text, adjustable recording quality, HDD & DVD, EPG Link recording (adjusts to programme broadcasting start and stop), transposes from Video and other external sources well, good sound quality, well recommended.

    Camcorder tapes to DVD in one easy move.

    Over the years I have wasted money on many different gadgets and software claiming to be able to transfer my digi 8 camcorder tapes to either computer or DVD and none worked. I'd always discounted this type of machine as it's main function is recording tv programmes and pausing/rewinding live tv etc., a facility I already have. This machine is simple to use and easily converts camcorder tapes and old vcr tapes to DVD. Definitely a star buy.

    So PleasedThat I Could Still Get This Make and Model.

    I bought this model to replace the one I have owned since they first appeared on the market which recently stopped working. I am once again enjoying the factility the machine provides to edit home movies etc and burning them to DVD. I can connect my video camera directly too it and finalise a disc that will play in other brands of video player/recorder. A good all round machine producing great quality videos.

    A quality Sony product

    This is a direct replacement for a an RDR-HXD870 which failed after 11 years of use.It has both scart and hdmi sockets which I need to link to my other equipment.It is neat, good looking easy to use and provides everything that the average user requires.Very pleased with the product
