Tried several brands and types of pocket clip lights, this is the best one.
I like the high CRI light quality, is easier on my eyes and the eyes of the person I care for when I check on them in the night. It is really good that it turns on first in the dim, low lumen setting, as that is adequate in the dark of night when eyes are already adjusted to darkness. If I so rarely need any higher lumen setting then the batteries will last longer. If I need the brighter output it is easily there. I like the very slim profile and the solidity of the pocket clip. The solidity of the tail cap button is also good. It does stick out but has not so far turned on accidentally in my pocket, except for one occasion. I bought several flashlights to try out for Every Day Carry, and so far this is the winner and ends up in the pocket more than other brands, mostly due to quality of light and useful button operation, with 2 sec reset once turned off, coming on in the lowest setting. My second version

Excellent penlight!
If you're considering the expensive Welch Allyn penlight with Halogen bulbs, don't bother! With an excellent LED bulb and color temperature, you won't have to worry about a short-lived halogen bulb that heats up! It's not exactly lightweight but feels extremely sturdy for it, and its proud button placement is extremely comfortable. It's easy to use, and a wonderful tool. Great EMT Diagnostic Penlight/Flashlight!
