Doesn't look like the picture, base seems to be made of a light weight alloy, didn't come with a cap. With a can of Freon costing as much as they do, hopefully this will hold up. Seller did a nice job of packaging and fast shipping, maybe should show a picture of the actual item instead of a stock photo that isn't accurate, maybe the manufacture of this product changed to this version now?

This is for most of the EJ25 SOHC (phase 2 and 3) Subaru engines (in the Legacy and Outback, and some Imprezas). This is a 90% complete gasket set because it doesn't include the front crankshaft seal or the rear crankshaft seal (AKA rear main seal), but everything else is there to do the engine after doing a head gasket change (spark plug tube seals, half moon seals for the camshafts, valve cover, thermostat seals, intake manifold, valve covers, head gaskets, washers for the valve cover bolts, and lots of other seals). Some better kits don't have the spark plug tube seals, so it's nice to see it here, but it's a bummer there's no front or rear crank seals. The HS2617 PermaTorque head gaskets are good ones- MLS with 3 layers of stainless steel with dowel pins, riveted together and coated ...
