  • Reality is almost Unbelievable

This book tells the story of The Bataan Death March. I always thought that the stories that I heard as a student from my teacher (who was there) were nothing but tall tales. How could a people be so brutal? Now I see that he actually was toning his stories down because the atrocities were simply unbelievable. This book takes you there, and you can see the reality of what actually happened. Hopefully, the world will never ever experience this type of human behavior by a conquering nation again. New Mexico produced so many heroes and here, we hear their stories and honor those remaining few. Were the lucky ones the ones who returned, or the one who died? Also, isn't it strange that the bombs that killed so many in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were also made here in New Mexico?
