Real Old School Fighting
I bought this game having played the original on the Sega Genesis. I didn’t realize new gen systems like the ps3 have to smooth out the graphics because these are some terrible graphics for the ps1. With that said, perhaps I’m getting old, but this game gives me carpal tunnel syndrome because you have hit, duck, slash, defend, and change tactics for every opponent. Definitely harder than Tekken, but slightly easier than Gundam Battle Assault. It’s cool kind of having all the characters available, but I think making you earn some of them would be more rewarding. Can’t knock this immortal franchise that time and time again has some cool characters with awesome moves!I bought this game having played the original on the Sega Genesis. Great game!
Mortal Kombat Trilogy is a great game though it's a little difficult than the later Mortal Kombat games, that is my only complaint with it. It's because I have not played this for a long time. Now I have the harder to find black label version.

Stick to the PS1 version
This is the best version of Trilogy to get besides the PC, the N64 was a bad port of the game and very rushed. The PS1 is the real deal and gives you more of that authentic arcade experience and feel! The disc is pretty cheap right now too.

MK3 the greatest fighting game ever!
For its time MK3 was the fastest, most exciting game of the day! My friends and I wasted more hours than I care to admit playing each other or playing against the game. Totally good buy!
