The "Gold" edition of Ensemble Studios myth-based, real-time strategy game includes the original Age of Mythology and its expansion pack, Age of Mythology: The Titans.<br><br>Three of the world's most celebrated ancient mythologies come alive for real-time warfare in Age of Mythology. Players choose to lead the Egyptians, the Greeks, or the Norse, each quite different in terms of available units, special powers, and methods of resource collection. The Greeks offer a balance of good offensive and defensive capabilities. The Norse are aggressive, driven by conquest and expansion. Sturdy and resilient, the Egyptians defend themselves well and are difficult to overcome.<br><br>With Age of Mythology: The Titans, a fourth culture -- the Atlanteans -- becomes available, and the original three cultures are modified with new god powers, human units, and mythological units. The Atlantean civilization offers some gameplay twists; players are able to use god powers multiple times, as opposed to the one-time powers of the Greeks, Norse, and Egyptians. All Atlantean human units can be converted to heroes, for a price, which can be invaluable in beating back attacks from mythological units.

    A great game-- but a concern!

    You will not be able to run this game on Windows 10 without a no-cd crack. It's simply necessary due to the old copyright protections that the game is rooted in no longer being compatible with the OS, ironically due to safety concerns. This means you'll have to do some work to get the game to function (try the AoM sub-reddit for more information), but once you do, everything is worth it. The voice acting is just as mid 2000s as you remember, the story just as strange and wonderful and campy, and the expansion pack offers an intriguing new way to play the game, with a campaign to match. A multiplayer community also still exists for this title via certain programs that can be downloaded and used to interact with and play against people across the globe, just as in the good old days-- but ...

    Outstanding game replay value

    You can switch and use any God's you wish the game play never gets boring the game has a difficult learning curve but once you learn it you will be glad because of what I have told you so far the god powers are amazing you can be losing the battle and the god powers can sway the battle in your favor unbelievable graphics well worth the money I don't usually gush Praise on games but this is one time I will make an exception like campaigns on this game are not to be ignored as they will teach you methods strategies how to use the game properly that you need to know if you ignore the campaign's then you were probably not like this game but with that said I highly recommend this game

    Great game, but won't work on current platforms

    It doesn't work. Won't load and/or start. I loved playing this game "back in the day", but it no longer works in Windows 10/11. Multiple other organizations are asking for monthly fees to make it work with no guarantees that the issue will be solved.

    Great product and worth everything.

    This game is old but I have so many memories of it. I bought just because I couldn't find my original one and I wanted to play it. Worth every buck and it came with an expansion that I never had.

    Quick install, great intro.

    What I like is the quick problem free download and gameplay. Graphics are good and prompts easy to understand.
