    Wonderful, timeless music (John Barry) is the best part of this romantic movie.

    The greatest value in this movie is the marvelous, timeless music score of John Barry, which led me to the movie. The main characters in the movie are very good, sometimes even wonderful, but what I find somewhat disappointing are superficiality of the script and directing. These are not at the level of acting and the music, though the the basic idea and the other resources enabled much more. I do like romantic stories, but not at the level of fairy tales. Still, primarily because of the music and actors, the movie deserves to be recommended (for getting more of it, I'd even suggest to watch it twice).

    Time Travel Romantic Film

    I have actually seen this film many years before, so wanted to purchase this dvd so that I may watch this film whenever I wanted to. I liked this film when I first viewed it and for anyone who likes the possibility of time travel this is an interesting though bitter-sweet film. The film was purchased as new and was sealed and worked without issue. The dvd arrived in 8 days which is reasonable and the price was average for a new dvd.

    Wonderful romantic film - one of the best

    Absolutely love this film, it takes a little while to get to the nitty gritty of the plot - but you'll feel glad that the story was not rushed. At the end of the film all of the pieces fall into place. One of my favourite films ever. So glad I had the opportunity to buy it.

    A cult film with a super soundtrack

    Jane Seymour makes this film which has stood the test of time well! It is a cult film with a real following especially in America. I am still not convinced by Christopher Reeve as the young man but Jane S makes up for any shortcomings! It is sad that Christopher Plummer’s part was badly cut in the post filming edit! Time for a new remake?- perhaps with the Michael Crawford WORDS added to the purely instrumental score! That beautiful music NEEDS the words added
