I have a 2 chamber septic tank, chamber 1 had 3” of scum, 36” of affluent, 6” of sludge, chamber 2 had 1/2” scum, 46” affluent, 1 1/2” of sludge, looks like I’m good for a few more years. This item is must have if you have a septic system, check before you have it pumped.

If you buy it check out how to use it on youtube, the instructions are not as good as could be. only confusion was lowering the tube in the septic tank with the end plug not in the tube after reaching bottom make sure to lift so there is room for the cord and plug to seal the end trapping the column of sediment on bottom and sludge in the top.
