Instructions say 165 lbs. max... don't know if that is per rail or combined weight across both rails. There are some things left out of the instructions. Washers are for screws that hold plastic mounting brackets to cross rail, not thumb screws. Because of the plastic ends, I don't have a lot of confidence to use them. Rigid metal would be better.
