Excellent driver, overlarge case
This is my second makita impact driver. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have used only a cordless screwdriver in the past. It is powerful, drives moderate to heavy screws very rapidly and and easily. and keeps on chugging through most jobs with a 3Ah battery ( battery and charger not supplied). I have used it on screws from 6's to 12, and screwbolts which are even bigger. It does not have the guts to remove wheel bolts on a car, but it is an essential tool if you are putting up fencing, laying floorboards, fitting a kitchen, or doing most general jobs. It has a handy job light to illuminate what you are doing which stays on nicely for a few seconds which is invaluable for getting the bit right on that recessed screw. . A selling point for Makita is that a 3Ah battery is fully charged in around 20 minutes..., 4Ah and 5Ah batteries are available and they take longer to charge. My quibble with this deal is with the case which is not a driver case but a large kit case designed to take, cordless driver, cordless drill, battery charger and battery. While the driver is quite small, the supplied case is huge in comparison and it would be silly to pack the bare driver in it on its own. Fortunately in my case I have the drill as well. The driver itself however I recommend without hesitation.

Impact screw driver
This tool makes light work of screwing all types of screws down tight and I brought it because my builder used one on our plaster board and it was amazing so I brought one tool!
