Product Information

In this film that epitomizes the American love for baseball, Ray Kinsella, a struggling Iowa farmer (Kevin Costner), obeys a mysterious voice in his cornfield that tells him to replace part of his crop with a baseball diamond, resulting in the magical meeting of baseball heroes from the past, including Shoeless Joe Jackson, and the seven other Chicago White Sox players who were suspended for purposefully losing the 1919 World Series. Even after building the diamond, Ray continues to hear voices, and seeks the help of a hermit-like author in sorting out the mystery, which allows the confrontation of ghosts of other sorts.

    baseball history

    great movie of old baseball team helping his dad and son right a wrong when he was a kid and not play baseball with his son and his dad gets to play on major league team with all the h o f players , and a Dr gets to play a game with major league players one last time , great movie of baseball a must if sports fan a plus

    A very good baseball movie.

    Had this movie on VHS, and now I need a good DVD copy for a big screen TV. This movie is worth watching at the least once a year. Great for anybody's movie collection.

    Field of Dreams

    Unusual look at the heavenly realm interfacing with the natural realm. Well acted. Some engaging characters. Takes a while to get to the real issue. But it's worth the wait.
