    Fantastic collection

    As i went down the lists of songs I kept smiling wide and going "THAT song! Heck yeah!" If you like classic rock, you're going to love this set, and the price is beyond reasonable. I'd call it a steal. With the exception of one disc, the sound quality is excellent and the song selection couldn't be better. As another reviewer has pointed out, there is one disc that's flawed. In the case labeled "Love Hurts", disc one is defective. There's an annoying snick-snick sound throughout, worse on some songs than others. "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" is unlistenable. My view is, just consider it a fantastic NINE disc set, still a bargain at the price, and go for it. I'm really happy with it, despite the one disc.

    EXCELLENT QUALITY AND VALUE

    This new 10 CD set was an unbelievable value for the price I paid including shipping (28.00). Contains a veritable plethora of great classic rock songs, mostly from the 70's. Equal in quality and substance to the 150.00 collections hawked on late night TV. Highly recommend and if you do your due diligence in locating a new collection at a rock bottom price you'll love the hours of listening to all the classic rock favorites without the lesser known filler songs.

    Great Collection With A Little Room For Improvement

    You already know the songs or you wouldn't be reading this. The sound quality on most of the recordings is excellent. Only a small handful sound brickwalled. The Cars My Best Friends Girl immediately comes to mind, but for a various artists collection, that's to be expected. One of the CDs has a regular clicking noise which makes it unlistenable but there are no issues with the other nine. The seller has promised to replace. I'm disappointed that Manfred Mann's Blinded By The Light is the singles version which omits the best parts of the song, but hey, the good far outweighs the shortcomings. Overall, it's a great collection that will bring back many memories if you were around when they were hits like I was. I'm knocking one star off for the defective CD.

    One bad disc out of 10.

    The volume 4 disc 1 which consists of 16 tracks had a sound problem. It made scratch or thumping sounds during play. This occurred on almost all of the tracks on this disc. The other volume discs were ok. But one bad disc out of 10 makes it a bad deal to me. However, it was delivered about one week ahead of schedule which is good coming from China.

    The Heart of CLASSIC ROCK

    In five CDs, a good selection of tracks. Some I have been able to enjoy by radio/concerts/or playing their music on CD/CASSETTE. There are some I am not familiar with, but all the tracks are enjoyable.
