    Item was as described and posted promptly, this product was value for money Antec quality and appearance, unfortunately the condition of the product as posted was not satisfactory making it unusable.     BT Elements 1K

    Due to location of my workshop and cottage, 100yrds apart with trees in between, I have relied for almost 25 years on my brilliant (but now geriatric) Ascom CT128 long range cordless phone (using its external wire aerial). Nothing has yet beaten the Ascom. The original BT Elements (Mk.1) struggled to reach thanks to the trees, but the new Elements 1K version with 'long-range' aerial, does reach and penetrate the Faraday sheilded workshop. Its not a vast improvement - I miss the torch! - but so far so good.... Recommended by a Luddite!

    Careful it's catching!

    Careful it's catching!...I bought one to reach from house to workshop..worked great. Previous Panasonic meant I had to stand at door to make a call...note I can go anywhere in large workshop. So I bought another for the lounge at far end of house as the wall socket was unreliable. That worked great too in spite of leaded windows and many walls...wasn't happy with the quality of living room phone..so got one more for there and got lucky on eBay as a pair were on sale at a keen price. So rest assured this phone goes where others simply can't..but with confidence..up to 5 handsets per base station..well worth downloading user manual..paring handsets is easy..these were made by Motorola I'm told so quality is great irrespective of the BT logo! Enjoy.

    Robust and Powerful

    I ordered two sets of the twin units. They are really great, well made and work very well. I also was provided with converter sockets, which I was not expecting. I am sure they will provide us with trouble free use. Oh, and they arrived very quickly.

    Reasonable range/compromised sound quality

    I’ve two sets of the twin-pack phone. Clarity is good, but the built-in speaker gives meagre volume in ‘hands free’ mode. Signal strength is good from the base unit to an outside user but far less than expected when used indoors in a thick-walled, stone-built property: the signal drops out completely 2 rooms from the base unit or secondary booster, even with the extended antenna fitted.

    Excellent product

    I just love these phones, They work brilliantly and I can easilly use the phone at the top of our 120' garden and that despite the fact that the base station is sittuated at the front of the house. I have taken the hand set down to the town about 2.5 miles away and I still had a signal but I do live on a hill and overlook the town. I highly recommend them if you want to use them outdoors and they have the advantage of being showerproof as well.
