    Semi-smart doll for ages 10+ with adult help

    The item includes all of the necessary tools for assembling the robot as well as an illustrated manual. by performing all of the steps as shown in the manual you can successfully assemble the robot without any problems, because the instructions are very clear and precise. It seems that Meccanoid understands voice commands best if they are said in a happy tone. You can also get a free app to control the robot from your smart device. I think that even though this item is recommended for ages 10+, adult help would be advised. I also recommend to be patient, because there are quite a lot of steps to build the robot and once it's assembled, Meccanoid doesn't always understand the voice commands right away.

    Fun and educational while closed in during a pandemic.

    Putting it together is entertaining and makes you think. The construction manual could be improved by changing the contrast/color on the gray because it is to dark and you have to guess on some placement of parts. Contrast is a major item for a 76 year old man. But I must say this does not impact the enjoyment of putting it together.

    Cool Project

    Takes FOREVER to put together so I would recommend for an older child (at least double digits in age). Does some cool things that my 10 year old likes but the nuts and bolts don't stay on too well.

    Great Gift at the Perfect Time

    The person for whom I purchased this had a great time putting it together. It is the perfect size, and easy to communicate to. This person hates computers, but for some reason, robots are A-Ok. He has several robots. We have thoroughly enjoyed having this thing around. I had been looking at these off and on for some time, and I am very pleased with this robot. It makes people smile, and there ain't a lot to smile about these days. Great gift at the perfect time.

    Came with broken part

    Part of the product came broken (audio jack on the robot's "brain"). My son loves it which is why we haven't returned it yet while we are figuring out what to do. It will likely cost close to $100 to fix which is double the original price so we're pretty frustrated.
