Bonsai Techniques 1
This is a beautiful book by a real bonsai master. The drawings and descriptions are so much clearer than photographs. There are also great photos, too. This covers everything from shaping and wiring to watering and potting. It also has a month by month bonsai care section.

Bible of Bonsai
John Naka is the Godfather of American Bonsai and his book is amazing. Visual aids. Step by step instruction on everything you can think of. Easy to understand.

Book was in fantastic condition!
This copy was in PERFECT shape! It was the 1984 edition, (6th printing, I believe), and the most amazing thing is that our copy was actually signed by John Yoshio Naka!!! My wife was ecstatic.
