Engrossing
It is interesting to watch modern people try to cope with the hardships and dangers of frontier life. It is downright fascinating to watch the individual reactions of the personalities involved in this experiment. Some are gracious, industrious and very close to noble. Some are trying to beat the system, striking out in ingenious ways of coping (by breaking the laws of manufacture and trade - then and now). Some are vindictive and competitive, pitching themselves against the other families in any way possible; jealous and resentful... Yep.
