Upon meeting a carefree bloke named Tommy (also Steele), Tony talks his new friend into trading places. In a twinkling, Tommy is jetting off to the mythical banana republic of Rittalia, where he promptly gets mixed up in political intrigue. Playing the pretty princess whom Tony/Tommy is slated to marry is June Laverick, while Michael Medwin provides laughs as the obligatory comical valet.

This is a nostalgia trip for fans of Tommy Steele,June Laverick and Michael Medwin
Thoroughly enjoyable lighthearted musical featuring Tommy Steele playing two characters. In monochrome and 1.33:1 format. Not widescreen Tommy plays a Cockney boy impersonating a young Duke. A few songs included sung by Tommy such as Happy Guitar and My Family Tree are catchy and the film not too long at an hour and a half. June Laverick plays the princess and Michael Medwin the butler.
