Each episode of the series features a careful deconstruction of events by the placid cigar smoking sleuth, aiming to keep viewers second-guessing everything until the final moments of the show.     Still worth watching

    In some ways this series must seem a little bit dated but that should not prevent people from enjoying them. This is the first series that introduced the slightly dishevelled cigar smoking detective and his unique and gentlemanly style of questioning. Invariably, just as he is leaving, he asks the really crucial question. This set includes all episodes from Season 1 plus two original Columbo films. As the material generally goes back to the 1970s, the quality of picture and sound at times falls a little below what we are accustomed to in 2018. However, it is perfectly watchable and this should not deter anyone from enjoying the series.

    "Quintessential Columbo"

    Of all the 70's cop dramas, besides "Kojak" "Columbo" was one of the most entertaining 👌 You're guaranteed (with all his ingenuity) he will always bring to justice the real perpetrator! A pleasure to watch.. I recommend you purchase, pure entertainment & value for money..👌

    So thrilled as I’m a huge Columbo Fan

    I had this COLUMBO box set before but unfortunately it got stolen from my home.So I brought this one back to replace the one that I didn’t have any more.It arrived today and it’s a very good box set to have in my collection again
