    Amazing Sounds ... Get Past the Static

    I wondered why they didn't remaster these classics. Then, on 1st listen I was blown away by the amazing voices and horns of this original master recording. Thinking of other remasters processes with Dolby or DTS, such as Beatles 1, I realized, while the music gets cleaned up and sounds truly great, something is lost in the processing. Aretha's Gold sounds natural and real! The voice and horn qualities are completely 3 dimensional and rife with life. The keys and drums, while not quite as good are very well set in the soundstage. As I turned up the volume everything was enhanced in spades, though that's when the Static from 60s analog master tapes started coming through. At first a disappointment and a distractor, eventually I was able to ignore it and simply relish in this superb ...
