Der Einband weist nur sehr geringfügige Beschädigungen auf, wie z.B. kleinere Schrammen, er hat aber weder Löcher, noch ist er eingerissen. Bei gebundenen Büchern ist der Schutzumschlag möglicherweise nicht mehr vorhanden. Die Bindung weist geringfügige Gebrauchsspuren auf. Die Mehrzahl der Seiten ist unbeschädigt, das heißt, es gibt kaum Knitter oder Einrisse, es wurden nur in geringem Maße Bleistiftunterstreichungen im Text vorgenommen, es gibt keine Textmarkierungen und die Randbereiche sind nicht beschrieben.     Although this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate.

    Six books in one. A complete Bible course by Edinburgh's J. Sidlow Baxter.

    Warren Wiersbe describes J. Sidlow Baxter as "one of the greatest Bible teachers I have ever heard. His approach to the Scriptures has had a lasting effect upon my own life and ministry. I have recommended Explore the Book in pastors' conferences and in the seminary classroom. It is an excellent survey of the Scriptures, and every serious teacher and preacher of the Word ought to work his way through these studies." Since these 147 studies were first delivered by J. Sidlow Baxter as his Thursday evening Bible lectures in Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh, without thought of being published, they are somewhat conversational in tone.     Explore the Book says it all.

    Warren Wiersbe, noted pastor, author and former president of Moody Bible Institute once said, (Paraphrasing) " If I were stranded on a desert island and could have but two books, I would have my Bible and Explore the Book by J. Sidlow Baxter." Wiersbe was absolutely right on! This is the best Bible survey book ever published.

    Outstanding resource

    I have used this book for years as a primary aid to Bible study. Baxter offers keen insight and summary charts that provide the theme and flow of each book of the Bible. I bought this copy for a a prisoner who has become a student of Scripture.

    Over 1500 pages of blessings!

    I bought this as a gift for someone because the book is outstanding and a tremendous blessing! Overview of each book of the Bible, but much more than a simple overview. Full of Spirit-taught insights. Can't say enough positive things about it.
